This is a VERY popular lunch place, so be ready for the waiting lines or come a bit earlier / later. This place has an amazing concept of "build-your-own-salad" where you only need to pick all the ingredients, plus the sauce, and the staff will assemble, chop and mix the salad right in front of your eyes almost at the speed of light. For the most basic ones, you will probably pay around CHF 15, but, it is easy to assemble a salad that is roughly CHF 20 - the portion is huge though, so it will last you a while. TIP: The healthiest sauce is the Olive Lemon. ;)

This is a bar with high-quality cocktails (even bartenders go there for a drink on their nights off). Also, the ambience is very nice - the entire place is like a hangar with an industrial vibe, the ceilings are super high and there is plenty of couches.

Essentials
At the MParc shopping center, there is pretty much everything you need - a huge grocery store Migros on the ground floor and a store where you can buy liquor one level up. There is also a florist, a pharmacy, some clothing and shoe stores, an interior store as well as an office supply store. I may have missed something as I don't even need to go into all the stores myself. It certainly offers enough to get by.

Getting Around
Trams 10 and 11 will take you to the central train station Basel SBB in just 5 minutes. You can also get into the old town with these.
