It's a Napoleonic Fort which is fantastic for views of the Alps and the Med as you walk around the huge dry moat. I have a review of it with photos on tripadvisor. Take a picnic! It's a nice long walk up there and back. Or do a 10 min reconnaissance drive up there and get a feel for the place.
