The Croatian sanctuary Vepric was dedicated to the Mother of God Lurdska, and founded it in 1908. bishop Dr. Juraj Carić who was there and buried. The natural cave and the whole scenery with hills, grassy fields and streams resembles them alive in Lurd where Bernardici Soubirous 1858 showed the Blessed Virgin Mary 18 times. In this shrine there is a chapel with sacristy, a square altar, a confessional, a crossroads, a home for spiritual exercises, a procession course. Due to its natural beauty and silence, it is a beautiful shrine throughout the year, and the main pilgrimage dates are February 11, March 25, August 15, and September 7 and 8.

The Croatian sanctuary Vepric was dedicated to the Mother of God Lurdska, and founded it in 1908. bishop Dr. Juraj Carić who was there and buried. The natural cave and the whole scenery with hills, grassy fields and streams resembles them alive in Lurd where Bernardici Soubirous 1858 showed the Blessed Virgin Mary 18 times. In this shrine there is a chapel with sacristy, a square altar, a confessional, a crossroads, a home for spiritual exercises, a procession course. Due to its natural beauty and silence, it is a beautiful shrine throughout the year, and the main pilgrimage dates are February 11, March 25, August 15, and September 7 and 8.
On the surface of the biochemical botanical garden of Kotiština, about 300 species of wild animals were found, ranging from typical Mediterranean to mountainous, and in some areas exotic, agricultural and medicinal plants were found.
In the spring and early summer the garden is the brightest and rich in floral varieties, and the rest of the year there is always a hidden flower in it. There are several footpaths in the garden, and the words at the main entrance to the rocks are carved. Because of its natural and cultural sights, the town of Kotišina and its botanical garden attract tourists and visitors not only during the summer season, but throughout the year.

It's a great place for people watching and very close to the harbour so lots to see.This is a must see when you are in Makarska. And you can not miss it!
