Delicious coffee, nice atmosphere, and you can catch the Bloomingdale farmer's market outside on Sundays! This is a great place for a quick bite, if you need to do some work on a laptop, or to read a book.

This restaurant was one of the first hot spots to open in the neighborhood several years ago. They have good food and a great selection of beer, wine, and mixed drinks. I'd recommend for brunch, especially because they have $15 bottomless mimosas/bloody marys! It can get crowded during busy times.

This is an Italian restaurant in the neighborhood. It's probably the highest price point ($20-$30 for an entree), but it's quite good. I'd recommend making a reservation if you want to go during the dinner rush.

This is my favorite pizza place in the city. They make their own dough and use high quality ingredients. The pizzas are lovingly named after the different neighborhoods in DC (my favorite is the Shaw pizza with pesto sauce, prosciutto, baby arugula, and cherry tomatoes, mmm!). You can order takeout or they have a few tables and they serve alcohol as well.

This is a mediterranean restaurant with great food that is not usually crowded. It can be on the pricey side, but I'd recommend going for happy hour (Sun-Fri 4-7pm) because they have a great selection of food and drinks for cheap. My favorite is the mücver.

This is a poultry themed restaurant that is close to my heart because I used to work here. The food is delicious (executive chef won on the show Chopped!) and they have very creative cocktails. Lots of patio space. Happy hour is available every day!

The best late night pizza in the city. After about 12pm, it's difficult to get food in the city, but they are open until 4am and they deliver to our house.
