Shopping

Having read some not-so-happy reviews, I didn't know what to expect from this shopping centre, but myself, my friend and our teenage daughters were very pleasantly surprised. I thought the design was stylish and modern, and full of atmosphere with the Christmas lights. Several ground floor eateries are grouped together in a shared space which looked cosy, inviting and interesting - not your usual fast food rubbish. Further restaurants on the first floor gallery again offered an enticing and varied selection of eating styles, but the icing on the cake is the beautifully planted upper terrace, with more premium restaurants and tables overlooking the city. We enjoyed a wonderful drink at the

Parks & Nature

The meadow is a free wander to amaze by its size reaching right to the River Thames (ISIS) on one side and the River Cherwell on the other. Amazing sight to see when flooded as it is completely covered in water. wandering along the tree lined avenue to the Thames then the path alongside the Thames (ISIS) and past the university boat houses and up the Cherwell to the botanic gardens and Magdalen tower. A really photogenic walk. You could also picnic en rout and take in the atmosphere.

Arts & Culture

This is a great gallery, often with really good exhibitions and offering a way to "escape" from the busy streets of Oxford. Gifted curators. And should you be there around lunch time, it's worth visiting the cafe that serves a narrow collection of really good and balanced dishes. One of those places that deserves return visits.

Entertainment & Activities

I took my 10 year old grandson and his friend and they had a brilliant time - even when the thunder, lightening and rain started they will had a brilliant time! The safely precautions were excellent - we had wait 20 minutes after the last flash of lightening before the climbing could start again. The staff were friendly and very competent and their climbing instructions and how to clip on the safely ropes, etc, was easy to understand. It was a group of mixed ages - mums with children (girls and boys) and a group of three 30-something girls - and everyone had great fun. There were three courses, getting a bit more difficult each time and each ending with a zip wire! Would definitely recommend
