Lucy's Farm Zoo - Fun Day Camp Give Yourself a Techy Holiday away from the craziness of the city and work! Meet our Horses, Miniature horses, Goats, Chickens, Bunnies, Ducks, Quails, Alpaca, Pot Belly Pig, Cats, Dogs, and Baby Animals! Discover Petting and feeding up close experience with our special friendly farm animals. Meet the lady hens and collect farm fresh eggs. Play with the baby animals. Watch baby goats climb and play or have a snuggle or feed them. Animals can make you forget all about your problems and make you laugh. Our babies are naturally very cute, friendly, social, and curious. Walk and play with our animals. Bring food if you wish and lets create a Family Picnic! (regulations no serving food) Many people are disconnected with nature and animals, spending most of their day on their phones and technology. This is your chance to form a meaningful connection with life in the country and get to discover a relationship with nature and these wonderful animals. Your special time to recharge, relax and revitalize your Body, Mind and Spirit. Meet New Friends, Feeding, Education, Excitement & Fun for Everyone! Other things to note Ask about getting close animals to gently introduce yourself. You may get a little dirty. Safety first - open palm feeding. SUPERVISION for safety always, No wondering on own. Please ask if you can come outside hours. No smoking or pets please.

For the morning booking: Guests will get to start in the poultry coop where they will be able to interact with the ducks and chickens, and perhaps collect their eggs. They will learn about feed and the mix of different species and their needs. They will open the door and watch the ducks waddle to the pond (seasonally). From there they will enter the paddock where they can interact with the donkeys and the horses and learn each of their stories. Guests will be informed about rescue animals and natural alternate methods of care. The guests will be taught how to clear their thinking in order to allow the animals to do the same and be rewarded by the therapeutic energy of the equine. For the afternoon booking: The poultry will already be free range but the guests will be able to sit by the pond (seasonally) and feed the ducks as well as have the chickens come to them for feed. Other things to note This is a hands on experience with animals. Guests are asked to be calm and allow the animals to come to them. Children must be supervised at all times. One on one (adult to child) is required. There is a good possibility you will get dirty. Hand washing will be available.

Do you need to de-compress, restore, renew and rejuvenate? Or just to step out and disconnect from your busy world for a few hours of self-care? We will meet in a parking area near the forest where our walk will occur. You will need to be comfortably dressed to be outdoors for 3 hours. This will not be a hike or a rigorous walk and we will not generate much heat through exertion--we will travel a total of about 1 kilometre on mostly level terrain, travelling slowly, noticing the world around us. I will offer you invitations for ways of interacting with the other-than-human world, engaging all your senses. You can choose to accept them or not! I will be asking you to turn off your phones and to not take photos until the last 10 minutes on the return journey, if you wish. At the end, I will offer a small nut-free snack. If you have any special needs or desires, just let me know! Other things to note We will be walking outside for the duration of this experience. Please come prepared for the weather of the day! I will be inviting you to turn off phones and only take photos in the last 10 minutes.

Our day starts by meeting at Hy-Hope Farm to taste fresh baked pies, tarts and more ( Not included ). We will be ready to start our hike of approximately 1 hour through Glen Major Forest, where we can explore the beautiful views of forestry and water streams. We will hike Glen Major Forest loop trail 1 miles (1.6 km) located near Uxbridge, Ontario that features a great forest setting. Lots of trails to explore, beautiful lookouts, and a lot of up and downs provide a good workout while enjoying nature. When we finish our hike, we’ll be ready for a refreshing swim at our Chalk Lake Beachfront. We can kayak, paddle boat, and go fishing (Must bring own rod). Formed by a melting glacier, Chalk Lake, a kettle lake in the southwest corner of Scugog Township, is a microcosm of the moraine's topographical and social evolution. Depending on weather conditions we may swim at Wagner's Lake instead. Due to COVID we ask that you please bring your own vehicle. We will not be allowing guests to drive in the same car as us.

We'll meet at our starting point and begin our 2 hour guided nature immersion walk. You will notice that you begin to slow down and become present. Your senses will awaken, savouring the sounds, sights and smells of the forest. We will identify tracks and scat and discuss the behaviour of the animal. We will walk through apple orchards, meadows, wetlands and visit a pond teaming with organic life. Depending on the season, you are welcome to enjoy the organic apples. Other things to note Our guests should wear proper clothing and footwear for varying weather conditions. Rubber boots are needed for spring. Layered clothing for the winter season.
