It’s hard to say what makes The Village Idiot such an unforgettable place. It could be the life-sized ostrich that eyes you from the bar, the quirky decor complete with a vintage pool table or the menu filled with fusion food that will blow your mind. Add to the mix the wide open balcony with a view of the concrete jungle below, the great drinks and the old-school playlist and you are all set for a night of fun. The food is incredible.

They have a bar and a restaurant. There is a pool table, DJ and a dance floor.

A little quirky, a little weird (the mascot is a big ol’ ostrich standing behind the bar) and lots of colourful atmosphere, The Village Idiot is one of the great new neighbourhood pubs of the CBD. Excellent selection of drinks and a beautifully twisted South African menu.
