This is one of the most exceptional trails in the area! Interpretive signage helps visitors learn about the horrific rail disaster that took place at the ghost town of Wellington. Walk along this flat trail to see beautiful northwest forests reclaiming an area that was fully logged in the "day" and contributed to the fatal avalanche. View historic trail tunnels and remnants of snow sheds. Enter from any of three trailheads for a completely difference experience and sense of history.

“This trail is for all age groups and VERY child friendly. It runs the rout of the old train tracts with the old snow shoot still up. A great place for history knowledge.”
