Lots of space and activities to find in Houston's largest centrally located park. There's a bike loop and more rustic bike and jogging trails (and places to rent bikes close by), golf course, soccer fields, picnic tables, baseball fields, playgrounds. Next door is the Arboretum for a more naturalistic experience.

Walking, jogging, hiking and biking trails. Picnic areas, tennis courts, outdoor pool.

Memorial Park. The largest and most popular park in the city. We don't have a lot of nature in Houston, but there are some hiking trails at Memorial Park that are surprisingly serene and peaceful. Also, near the golf course and active jogging trail.
