No hiking trails here, but it's a great quick trip in Hilo to see a nice waterfall. The waterfall is a 30 second walk from the parking lot.

This is one of the most geologically interesting national parks in the United States, home to two active volcanoes that allow visitors to see the wonder of nature in action. Visitors should be aware that various parts of the park and surrounding area, including roads, may be closed during periods of volcanic activity.

A must see when you are in Hilo! That’s on the other side of the island 5 minutes outside Hilo town. You can park for free and walk right up to the waterfall. After a couple rainy days, The Rainbow falls are raging with fresh water. Beautiful location!
