If you are planning to escape the city life and relax, we suggest a beach day! This is P.E's favourite beach to be on, best place to watch our beautiful sunsets that take place on the wild side of our town. best time to go is from 15:00pm, the sun can get hot in the day and there is limited shade during midday. Pack a picnic and soak up the sun and our beautiful coastline.

Sardinia Bay Beach (10-15min drive) is one of my favorites, with an endless sandy beach and big sand dunes. It is a hidden gem, safe, great for swimming, surfing, snorkeling, and walks over the big sand dunes. You will find on weekends and holidays It gets a bit busy in the parking area but the beach is never crowded. And if you walk a little to the right, about a kilometer, you will find a great swimming spot for kids, without waves and full of fish.

SARDINIA BAY BEACH Affectionately known to the locals as Sards, Sardinia Bay Beach is an absolutely spectacular beach on the outskirts of Port Elizabeth’s suburban centre. This beach is all about miles upon miles of sandy stretches, flanked by high sand dunes on the one side, and the clear blue of the sea on the other. There are a number of rock pools and small swimming bays to the left, which are perfect for families with young children. To the right, the beach in Sardinia Bay seems never-ending.
