Hard to come to STL and not do a Anheuser-Busch brewery tour! I am not the biggest beer guy, but will gladly take tours at brewhouses as it's always fun to learn about the beermaking process as well as sample their goods. I honestly was not expecting the Hollywood tour that they provided! Upon walking into the lobby you are greeted with a Disneyland trove of treasures, so it's good to spend some time wandering around first before checking in for one of the tours. Speaking of the tours, they have several different levels, think of a basic, intermediate, and advanced with prices obviously getting higher with each step up. I went with the middle of the road tour, which was under $20 and included several beers and an hour long tours. I will tell you that if it is a hot summer day, you are in luck as many of the stops are in door with air conditioning besides the Clydesdales which everyone of course comes for. You will make several pit stops at some of their fermentation halls and history rooms, get ready to drop your jaw with their fermentation tanks, they are absolutely massive! Then of course come the Clydesdales, which everyone gets giddy over. You can get up and personal for photos or find some iconic shots with the wagons and sometimes they even bring them out for those iconic shots. As mentioned earlier, you will have several pit stops to try various Budweiser beers and the rare (At least for me) Bud Select, which is delicious. Last stop where they drop you off is the beer garden for a final beer or in many cases you end up doing a flight tasting of their huge lineup. The outdoor beer garden is quite large and even offers up food, so it's a great idea for lunches. Fabulous tour and well worth every penny! Would highly suggest to anyone looking for an iconic spot to visit in STL.
