1. On the way from Portland to Newport, stop at The Horn for an early lunch 2. Visit the Yaquina lighthouse -great tide pools! $7 to walk around 3. Visit the Mike miller park and do the 1 mile Mike Miller trail/loop.ea 4. Park at the Hatfield Science visitor center. There is a mile long trail to the aquarium. I think we get a discount to the aquarium with the oregon zoo membership. The trail begins at a pier at the far end of the parking lot. Do a drive over to the old downtown area. 5. Visit the Nye beach shops and walk around then go back to rest at the hotel 6. Have an early dinner at Clearwater at 5. Or local ocean Albacore tuna kabobs, fish tacos. 7. Whale watching in Depot bay-dockside charters 8. Ripley’s believe it or not 9. Wax museum 10. Aerial park at salishan (30 min away) walk amongst the trees

This is a great coastal town. Home of Rogue Brewery, the Oregon Aquarium, and amazingly fresh seafood (check Local Ocean for a meal), and near a number of other coastal attractions.
