Newcastle boasts several fabulous beaches. There is a long stretch of sand which is actually split up into three beaches being; Dixon Park, Bar beach and Merewether beach. Merewether has beautiful ocean baths and some great places to eat nearby, and Merewether Surf House makes a fabulous location…

Newcastle Beach is a beautiful spot for a swim or surf. You can walk around to Nobbys beach and swing past Fort scratchley and have breakfast or lunch at Estabar, East End Hub or the Kiosk (right on the beach, try the egg and bacon roll,,,so delicious)

Take a 40 minute drive to Newcastle Beach and take in some waves. Restaurants, cafe's and bars dotted around the many beaches.

Walk along beach to Newcastle Beach to the beach side cafes or further onto the harbour

Beautiful city beach for swimming, surfing, walking together with a historic wading pool for toddlers and young children. Lots of cafes and coffee shops as well
