The Alligator River Wildlife Refuge is a great way to spend and afternoon or morning. There are multiple spots to launch a small boat, go on a bear spotting tour, or enjoy the vast variety of birds that call eastern NC home.

I love this place. It is refuge for bear watching, bird watching, otters and alligators. Go early in the morning for the best luck.
