Shitennoji temple Flea market: Kind of a hidden flea market to foreign tourists, the visitors are mostly local people. The language you can hear is Osaka dialect, not standard Japanese, because of a deep Osaka Area. Tour itinerary: 10:30 Shitennoji-mae yuhigaoka St.→Flea market at Shitennoji Temple (Lunch at the temple restaurant. Japanese food menu only) → Isshinji temple Theater to see Buddhism art → Climbing Mt. Chausu → Going through Tennoji park to Zoo Shop around 14:30 ~ 15:00, the end of service. You will meet a strange things you've never met before because the place you are visiting is Japan. Participants really know about their merchandise. They would be happy to teach you how to use it, how they made it or what kind of history the merchandise have. From this moment communication is started with you and participants. Osaka Shinsekai/Dotonbori Walking Tour
We meet in Shinsekai area, an old neighborhoods of Osaka, walk around the area then head toward the Minami area, Osaka's southern city center, including world-famous "Dotonbori". Osaka is well known as the food capital of Japan, or kitchen of Japan, and you will see why once you get there. There are so many restaurants all over the city, and all kinds! I'll show you not only the variety of foods Osaka can offer but also the history of the area, Japanese tradition and everyday life of local people. You'd be better off if you can take my walking tour at your earliest convenience once you arrive Osaka, since I'll talk a lot about what you can do here as well as restaurant recommendations. This will be an excellent activity for you to familiarize yourself to this amazing city, and also Japan over all. I'll try my best to let you have a good time while you're in my beloved city!! It is known across the world that Miso soup and Rice balls are the traditional dishes in Japan. And also, it's true that these are well balanced foods. If you have a skill to do both, you can not only get a lot of nutrition at the same time, but also can enjoy the basic Japanese food culture. You'll learn how to make three kinds of dish such as miso soup, rice balls and a side dish. You'll make Japanese broth (Dashi) from scratch. Because the broth "Dashi" is the essential item for any Japanese cuisine. We'll use our homemade one year fermented Miso for miso soup and use our homemade pickled plums for rice balls in this experience. You also can learn how making miso with our original recipe. Let's enjoy the authentic miso soup and rice balls with our other homemade pickles. I don't use any meat, milk and any chemical additives for cooking. Kendo experience inside the Osaka Castle
Step right in to the Samurai world at the foot of the largest castle in Japan. “OSAKA Castle KENDO Experience" is for families, group or individuals who have desire to learn the BUSHIDO ("WAY OF SAMURAI") values through experiencing the traditional martial arts, KENDO (WAY OF SWORD). BUSHIDO values are the foundational behavioral and moral codes that formed the basics of Japanese mind. At the start of the experience, you will get dressed up with Kendo uniform, then learn the basic gestures, movements and skills by the instruction of a professional Kendo player, who started Kendo from his childhood.After that, you will wear all the Kendo armors and practice all the skills with your team members. The instructor will teach you everything in English. Q&A is always welcomed during the workshop. It is a very safe family activity but exciting enough to meet your adventurous expectation! Osaka Shinsekai/Dotonbori Walking Tour
We meet in Shinsekai area, an old neighborhoods of Osaka, walk around the area then head toward the Minami area, Osaka's southern city center, including world-famous "Dotonbori". Osaka is well known as the food capital of Japan, or kitchen of Japan, and you will see why once you get there. There are so many restaurants all over the city, and all kinds! I'll show you not only the variety of foods Osaka can offer but also the history of the area, Japanese tradition and everyday life of local people. You'd be better off if you can take my walking tour at your earliest convenience once you arrive Osaka, since I'll talk a lot about what you can do here as well as restaurant recommendations. Step right in to the Samurai world at the foot of the largest castle in Japan. “OSAKA Castle KENDO Experience" is for families, group or individuals who have desire to learn the BUSHIDO ("WAY OF SAMURAI") values through experiencing the traditional martial arts, KENDO (WAY OF SWORD). BUSHIDO values are the foundational behavioral and moral codes that formed the basics of Japanese mind. At the start of the experience, you will get dressed up with Kendo uniform, then learn the basic gestures, movements and skills by the instruction of a professional Kendo player, who started Kendo from his childhood.After that, you will wear all the Kendo armors and practice all the skills with your team members. The instructor will teach you everything in English. Q&A is always welcomed during the workshop. It is a very safe family activity but exciting enough to meet your adventurous expectation!
