The restaurant (Trotwood) is top-notch one of the best food places I’ve been to in Round Top and it draws a “sheik” crowd from the city. Definitely one of the newer “hot spots” in the area.

Towns to saunter through to experience the great Northern Catskills - whether it’s the “hippy vibe” of Woodstock or the “Cosmo meets Catskills" of Hudson, this area is the best of New York State! Fantastic day trips of towns I recommend are: Woodstock, Saugerties, Catskill and Hudson.
If "getting off the beaten path" is more your speed and you're seeking a little more "woodsy" and to commune with nature, then the list below of scenic spots will be more for you!
At 260 feet, these are some of the highest waterfalls you’ll find on the entire East Coast. Kaaterskill Falls drops in two separate tiers with the upper falls measuring 175 feet, and the lowers falls coming in at 85 feet and flowing into a rocky basin. Fortunately, the journey to get to the falls is only one mile each way–but the hike is a steep one. You’ll feel the burn everywhere from your waist down, but we promise that the view will be more than worth it.
