SARDINIA BAY BEACH Affectionately known to the locals as Sards, Sardinia Bay Beach is an absolutely spectacular beach on the outskirts of Port Elizabeth’s suburban centre. This beach is all about miles upon miles of sandy stretches, flanked by high sand dunes on the one side, and the clear blue of the sea on the other. There are a number of rock pools and small swimming bays to the left, which are perfect for families with young children. To the right, the beach in Sardinia Bay seems never-ending. The waters of the main beach can be wild and are not recommended for children or the inexperienced. 24 min (18.1 km) via M9 Fastest route, the usual traffic
