The Fener Greek Patriarchate, also known as the Greek Orthodox Patriarchate, is located in Balat, on the shores of the Golden Horn. The Patriarchate, which was moved to its current location on the Grand Vizier Ali Paşa Street in 1602, gained its present appearance with the restoration carried out in the 1800s.
