Σε απόσταση 20 χλμ. νοτιοδυτικά της Νάξου, βρίσκεται η παραλία Αλυκό, μια μικρή χερσόνησος με πολλούς όρμους. Το Αλυκό έχει μια εξωτική ατμόσφαιρα νότιας θάλασσας, αμμόλοφους και είναι τοποθετημένο ανάμεσα σε πολυάριθμους, όμορφους κέδρους. Το ιδιαίτερο χαρακτηριστικό της είναι ότι όσο ισχυρός μπορεί να είναι αλλού ο άνεμος, δεν επηρεάζει την συγκεκριμένη παραλία κάνοντας το μπάνιο μια ευχάριστη εμπειρία.

The beautiful sandy beach of Alyko is located in the south-west of Naxos and is approximately 17.5 kilometres away from the island’s capital. It is one of the largest and most beautiful beaches of Naxos, with white sand and a new forest of cedar trees. Alyko is, in fact, the name of the greater coastal area that includes the saltpans (from which the area takes its name, saltpan = alyki) right after Glyfada beach and the peninsula that follows. All situated around quite a large cedarwood park, surrounding an abandoned, unfinished all-inclusive hotel site, which recently hosts street exhibition art by Wild Drawings and other street artists from several places around the globe. A very interesting combination, worth spending at least half a day.
