This place has been in Sacramento for over 50 years and is one of the best high end Chinese restaurant/bars you will find. It appears to be a hole in the wall but when the door opens be prepared for a beautiful experience.

Located in the heart of downtown Sacramento—just a few blocks from the State Capitol building—James Beard America’s Classic award winner Frank Fat’s has been bringing Sacramento’s movers and shakers together since 1939. Celebrated as the “third house” of the California Legislature because of its popularity among politicians making deals in the back booths.

The Fat Family run a Sacramento Restaurant dynasty. Frank Fat's was award the James Beard award in 2013, one of 5 in the US in 2013. I don't like banana cream pie, but if you do, this is the place.
