SLC is the airport you fly into to ski at Snowbird, Alta and all the Utah resorts with the "Greatest Snow on Earth". Only 27 miles from SLC to Snowbird make Snowbird the most accessible, reliable powder skiing in the world. While Salt Lake Airport very rarely closes, the last 6 miles from the mouth of Little Cottonwood Canyon to Snowbird is sometimes the hardest part of the journey. The road is at times restricted to 4WD or AWD only, so that is a good reason to use shuttle services and/or public transportation to get to Snowbird since a car is really not needed in Snowbird.

Utah is, of course, known for its world-class skiing, hiking and National Parks. When you're done exploring the great outdoors in best state in the lower 48, don't miss spending some city time in the state's capital. From biking to breweries to baseball to beautiful vistas, Salt Lake City has it all in a surprisingly easy to navigate few square miles.

This is a small BIG city with a young and vibrant vibe; there's lots of awesome experiences (especially if you love the outdoors) and some AMAZING food. You can spend days checking out SLC and if you end up needing something different drive the short distance up to beautiful Park City. The night life is a ton of fun, with tons of local brewery's (like Purgatory and Proper) and some awesome bars (like Quarters). We do recommend that you check out Utah's unique drinking laws before you go out but know that you'll have a ton of fun regardless if you're going out for a drink or not..
