If you would like an easy ocean front walk that doesn’t involve dodging bicycles, try starting on the sea wall at 2nd and JFK in NW and walking all the way over to St.Demetris church. You will catch locals meeting for a chat and reading the legendary ( and free) Sun newspaper ( @wildwoodsunbythesea). You might even see the famous editor of that paper, Dorothy Kulisek, who loves to greet the sun and share her photos with us. You can watch the surfers at the beginning of the wall and the fishermen and women towards the end. There are also multiple dining options as you get closer to Anglesea, including the Star Diner.

Take a morning or evening stroll along the Inlet. A great spot to watch the sunrise over the ocean. Don’t forget to stop by the lighthouse and check out the flower gardens.

Nice to take a walk down or to sit on the benches to relax and watch the water.

Along New Jersey's coast, a pathway atop a concrete sea wall provides a popular place for North Wildwood residents and visitors to enjoy ocean views. Beginning near 2nd Avenue and John F. Kennedy Boulevard on the seaward side of the city, the route traces the Hereford Inlet. Along the way, a worthwhile side excursion is a visit to the Hereford Inlet Lighthouse and in season, its surrounding gardens. At the southern end of the trail, you can also easily access the nearby Wildwood Boardwalk, a popular attraction to experience when closed up and silent.
