Independant wine merchants in the heart of Abergavenny town just over 4mile away. Owned and run by Lloyd and Ben (with the oversight of Chester the dog whom the place is named after), award winning sommeliers whose knowledge is epic, just like their wines! Visitors can relax with a glass of wine and watch the town go by, or buy a bottle to take back (wines on the wine list as priced, additional bottles from shelf can also be ordered to drink but corkage applies). also stock a range of whisky, gin, ales and ciders. Well worth a visit just for the warm welcome.

Chesters has a great range of carefully selected wines. The real bonus is that you can pull up a table and open a bottle to enjoy. Bring your own food if you are hungry!

An independent wine merchants where you can chat away about wine with the owners. They have a beautiful courtyard where you can enjoy wine, local ales as well as a small menu of light Mediterranean plates. Great atmosphere and we would thoroughly recommend Chester’s. You can buy wine to take home too.

Best booze shop ever! And you can sit outside and enjoy a glass on wine there too! They also do small plates, foodie pop ups and cocktails and music some evenings.
