The Boars is a beautiful 16th century pub and restaurant. It has a lovely country feel, with comfortable seating, a wood burner and tasteful decor. We can book a table for you in the restaurant or why not pop in for a pint of local ale after a busy day site seeing. It is a five minute drive away.
Gastro pub. 10 minute drive from us. Welcoming atmosphere. Breakfasts are served 9am - 11am. We've had some lovely lunches and evening meals here over the years. It's slightly more expensive then standard pub fare but worth it.
Lovely owner hosts, very good wine and now have new owners and are doing food again with a god chef. Great atmosphere. Lovely garden. You can walk, takes about an hour.

“Snetterton Circuit is a motor racing course in Norfolk, England, originally opened in 1953. Owned by Jonathan Palmer's MotorSport Vision organisation, it is situated on the A11 about half an hours drive from the Cartlodge. It has several different race events that you can go and watch up close, from lorries to motorbikes.....this might be one to ask Andy about as he knows more about it! It also has a huge Lego, train set and other ‘hobbies’ warehouse that is really interesting, and a cafe.”

“If you’re after some live music, it’s worth seeing who’s playing at the Waterfront in Norwich. The venue sits on the bank of the river Wensum, opposite the popular Norwich Riverside, with many bars and restaurants, an Odeon cinema, Gravity trampoline park and a large bowling alley.”

“This is a must see for those exploring the history of Wymondham, ideally situated between Wymondham Abbey and the Arts Centre, the Green Dragon is an absolute gem. The Great Fire of Wymondham, which broke out in 1615, was a major event in the town's history. About three hundred properties were destroyed in the fire, however the Green Dragon survived and scorch marks from the fire can be seen on the building to this day. I highly recommend it for both food and drink, and for the opportunity to step back in time.”
