Historic pub in Belgravia with good food too and a Sunday roast offering too, legend has it that Grenadier is named after young Cedric, a soldier who was caught cheating at cards and punished by being beaten to death. No one knows exactly when this ghastly deed occurred, but it is thought to have been in September as that is when ghostly happenings are rife. Visitors hang money from the ceiling in an attempt to pay his debt, but poor Cedric seems to remain trapped on earth.

Delicious, though pricey, Bloody Mary's at this ancient pub in a characterful old mews 15 minutes walk from flat

On a quiet, unassuming street in central London lies a beautiful little pub that serves ales and food. It’s a quaint pub in a very upmarket neighbourhood. Highly recommended. Full of character. Best to make reservations if you visit for food, given the size of the pub.

The Grenadier in Belgrave Square is royalty amongst London pubs. This historic treasure chest is not your usual insipid public house.
