It's very adventurous, actually quite scary if you haven't done horse riding before. However it's an incredible experience.

"Experienced guides escort riders twice daily along the 13km circular route. The trail takes about two hours to complete, leading through beautiful fynbos coastal vegetation, towards the Gamtoos river with breathtaking views from the dunes and finally returning along a 6 km stretch of deserted beach. This outride is ideal for intermediate and advanced riders, though in quiet times, we also accommodate first-timers and beginners. Experienced riders can choose not to go with a guide and have the freedom to explore the valley at their own pace.

This is quite a memorable experience. Located 10 km outside of Jbay, Papiesfontein offers you horse rides with experienced guides through fynbos and then along a wild, unspoilt and remote section of beach. It offers some adrenalin and lots of nature beauty. The guides provide you with a horse that suits your "riding" abilities.
