Built in about 1632, Boscobel House, originally a timber-framed farmhouse, was converted into a hunting lodge by John Giffard of White-ladies. Excellent day-out.

Back to the English Civil War. Charles II took refuge here, while on the run from the protestant troops. See the priest's hole and the Royal Oak.

A great place to visit. You can walk the Monarch's Way and see Whiteladies Priory and the lovely village of Tong with its beautiful church.

Boscobel is a pretty timber framed house which hid Charles II from Oliver Cromwell's troops after his defeat at the Battle of Worcester in 1651 and went on to be a Victorian working farm.
