This grocery is a cooperatively owned store in downtown Urbana's Lincoln Square Mall that promotes local and organic production, fosters conscious consumerism, and builds community. Though they are community-owned, membership is not required to shop in the store.
A nice co-op with a good selection to choose from. Notably more expensive than your normal grocery store, with a more interesting variety.
Best Natural/local grocery around. It's a bit pricey on certain items, but it's within walking distance and has a friendly atmosphere. Great for organic/local farmer's foods.

“Our favorite place for coffee in Champaign-Urbana. We recommend the specialty lattes, they're all phenomenal. Flying Machine Coffee is also a good work space to hunker down in for a few hours. Flying Machine Coffee also shares a space with "Pizza M", a kind of hipster pizzeria we frequent. Our favorite is probably the "Pear & Brie" pizza, with the titular "The Pizza M" a close second. ”

“This place is also a great local coffee shop (Flying Machine coffee) with free wifi. The pizzas are always rotating, unique, and locally sourced ingredients. ”

“Vegan food that even meat eaters like! I recommend the veggie lasagna and the pasta Alfredo. Save room for giant cookies and (my favorite) chocolate cake. Or don't save room and get the dessert to go! Upstairs is a quirky and cool place to eat that's a living room/dining room overlooking Main Street.”
