A great walker’s pub, dog and family friendly with a lovely laid back atmosphere roaring fire, for mulled wine and hot chocolate after a big walk. We booked the sun lounge for a big gathering of friends with kids which worked well. Has quiet nooks and crannies too. Home made burgers, and plenty of veggie and gluten free options.

A lovely friendly pub with excellent food about 2 miles from our door. Do book in advance as it can get busy in the season.

Nice little local pub about 3.5 miles from Butterton, we have had mixed reviews on the food lately, probably a good stop off on a walk rather than a dinner venue. Food served either in the fresh air with great views or in the cosy pub with warm fires and dripping dogs.

A proper pub! No food, just cobs. Acoustic music Fridays and live music Saturdays. Dog friendly with outdoor seating too.
