The views from the top of the column and from the parking lot are spectacular on a clear day.
This is hands down the best place to get a view of Astoria, the Columbia River, the Astoria Bridge, Young's Bay and everything in between, all the way to the Pacific Ocean. The views are stunning even from the parking lot. $5 parking fee. Keep your card and use again or leave for the next guest…
Breathtaking views of the Columbia River Estuary, Northern Oregon, and over into Washington state.
Just a nine mile drive from the guest suite. Bring $5 for parking. It is worth it just for the view. Climb the 164 step circular staircase to the top of the Column.
The Astoria Column is a tower in the northwest United States, overlooking the mouth of the Columbia River on Coxcomb Hill in Astoria, Oregon. Built in 1926, the concrete and steel structure is part of a 30-acre city park.
