If the weather is good there is no finer place to dine (or lunch, or snack, or drink) than Gee White's famous seafood bar. Try the dressed crab, or go for the whole seafood platter.

Gee White’s The Old Stone Quay, 1 High Street, Swanage BH19 2LN +44 (0) 1929 425720 For the best views! Al fresco seafood restaurant and ice cream parlour. This place doesn’t take bookings, but it’s the perfect spot for lunch if you’re spending the day in town.

Great anytime of the day. Excellent location and good food. Really good breakfast baps, handmade pizzas, seafood, baguettes, burgers.

No visit to Swanage is complete without a trip to Gee Whites for drinks or food - while catching the last of the evening sun. It's a seafood restaurant but there are plenty of vegetarian options. Better still, go upstairs to the Top Deck - lovely views of the bay. (Open April to Oct)
